Rust de Winter Safaris
This family-operated game farm, tenderly held by the Basson family since 1985, lies a mere 90-minute journey from OR Tambo International Airport. Rust de Winter Safaris is cradled in the untamed heart of South Africa's wilderness—a place where the soul finds its home.
Our lodge is a sanctuary in a malaria-free paradise, perched near to the tranquil Rust de Winter Dam and Nature Reserve in Limpopo Province. Here, the air is thick with adventure, yet still enough for serenity to settle; the landscape is both a promise and a memory. Rust de Winter Safaris is not just a destination but a journey into the wild places where the human spirit was born.
Your Hunting Safari
INCLUSIONS
We recommend a minimum of 3-10 nights stay, which includes; transfers to and from OR Tambo International Airport, board and lodging, gourmet meals, beverages, alcoholic drinks (in moderation), transportation during the hunt and the field dressing of your prized trophies.
EXCLUSIONS
The daily rates do not include any taxidermy’s fees, packing, dipping and shipping of trophies and gratuities to staff. Gratuities to PH's and staff is at guest’s discretion.
HUNTING SEASON
We offer year round hunting, starting in January and finishing in at the end of December. The best time to hunt is March through October with the coolest months being June - August.
GETTING AROUND
Hunters will be guided to their hunting areas on the property by a professional hunter and tracker. For an unforgettable and authentic African safari, walk-and-stalk hunting is highly recommended.
RIFLE REQUIREMENTS
All hunters will be required to sight their rifles at a shooting range before commencing their hunt. Rental rifles are available on request. Rifles with silencers are preferred.
MADE SAFE
Weapons must be made safe and secured while in the camp. Each bedroom is equipped with a rifle and valuables safe for your convenience.

Email us for a reservation form, please remember you will need to confirm number of guests, number of those that are hunters and those who are not intending to hunt.

Daily Rates
A deposit consisting of 50% of the daily fees is required to confirm reservation (Payment to be received within 10 days of reservation request). Balance of hunt to paid 7 days before arrival.
Unpaid reservation
Should the above fees not be paid within 10 days from the provisional reservation, the reservation will be cancelled without notice.
Cancellations
Cancellations made less than 90 days before reservation date will forfeit deposit.
Cancellations
All cancellations will attract a 15% administration fee regardless of the cancellation conditions.
50% of the deposit will be forfeited of the reservation if cancelled prior to 90 days of reserved date.
